Denton & Down was apparently founded in about 1907 at Bartlett’s Buildings, Holborn Circus, London.It was known as a silversmith, cutler, and specialist in medals, cups, and badges. In 1907, a silver mark ‘D&D’ was registered at Sheffield Assay Office. The partners were Claud C. R. Denton and George Clark Denton. They split in 1912, when the latter continued the business.
