Jonathan Wild (sometimes spelled ‘Wilde’) was listed as a pen and pocket knife cutler and publican at The Harrow in Broad Lane (trade mark ‘SIAM’). By 1787, he was in Sims Croft. In 1789, The Gentleman’s Magazine reported the death of Jonathan Wild, cutler, who was also the ‘most popular change-ringer and composer in this country’.
