Samuel Andrew (c.1782-1835) was the son of Samuel Andrew, a corn miller, of Broomhall Mill (Ball et al, 20061). By 1817, he was listed as a scissors manufacturer, Duke Street. His subsequent address in the 1820s and early 1830s was South Street, where he was a scissors maker and grocer. He died at his residence in Fitzwilliam Street on 7 June 1835 (aged 53), after a ‘long and painful illness’. He was buried in St Peter’s church-yard. 1. Ball, Christine, Crossley, Dav....
