This scissors maker may have partnered John Dungworth as Hunt & Dungworth, Pond Hill. The enterprise was active by 1816 and dissolved in 1819. Hunt was listed in 1822 as a fine scissors and razor manufacturer in Coulston Croft, off Westbar. By 1828, he had moved to nearby Love Street. His advertisement in the directory for that year had a striking engraving of the factory – one of the first factory views from that era.
