Fentem, Webster & Danby
In 1824, this enterprise registered a silver mark as a plate maker from Howard Street. It was active in the 1820s and operated a London warehouse in Pickett Street, Strand. It was one of the few firms to advertise in the Sheffield directory (1828). The partnership was dissolved in 1830 by Thomas and Charles Fentem, John Webster, and John Danby. Information on the principals is scarce. Thomas Fentem may have been the mercer and linen draper active in Sheffield between about 1808 and 1814.&n....
