Edward Robinson (c.1832-1884) was born in New Bolingbroke, near Boston, Lincolnshire. By 1851, he was living in Wakefield and working as a house servant. In 1861, he was a ‘traveller in shop goods’, and living in Ecclesall Road, Sheffield. He registered a silver mark as Robinson & Co, Eyre Street, in 1864.
