William White (c.1843-1922) described his occupation as master pearl cutter. He had been born in Sheffield, the son of John (a butcher) and his wife, Mary A. In the Census (1861), he was living with his parents at Arundel Lane and was a pearl cutter and grinder. He partnered W. B. Wolstenholme in about 1886 at Holly Street.
