Jared Yates & Hardesty (presumably George) was listed as a table knife manufacturer in 1818 at 12 Eyre Street. This was probably dissolved in that year. George Hardisty [sic] was next listed in 1822 as a table knife manufacturer in Rockingham Street. He registered a silver mark in 1828 from Norfolk Lane, where he manufactured ‘all kinds’ of table knives, and silver and plated dessert knives.
