John Rose Bradley (1809-1883) was the son of Thomas (a cutler) and his wife, Elizabeth. By 1833, John was listed as a razor scale presser and ornamenter in Broad Lane. He had moved to Carver Street by 1837. He was bankrupt in 1838, but continued the business in West Street (advertising in 1856). He had retired by 1881. He died on 31 December 1883, aged 74, at School Lane, Crookes. His burial in the General Cemetery was unconsecrated. He left £45.
